A classic

This suit is new over the online shop of Armidi, shoparmidi.com. I am not a fan of many attachments on the avatar body but this suit has a extremely nice touch over the prims. After a while I think that making textures it is not enough so you need to attach different physical layers over your avatar. This tendency is widespread among high quality content creators of SL. The suit I am wearing is a classic one. The only twist from the classical nature is the open collar and I know a closed collar with tie looks pretty when done in texture but looks better this way. This has a reused Cambridge shirt, another Armidi classic.

About my absence over the blogosphere. The absence is totally motivated by RL issues (not covered) but has something to do with SL too. It was a long time I was feeling surprised by some creations. There are no surprises anymore, there have been weeks from when a certain creation was a pleasure to see. This post is just a on the road one, keep reading till I am figuring out what is going wrong.

The black issue

Yes it is a black issue. Not by race but only by colors. And it is bad, always eating only the darkest chocolate, the blackest espresso, luckily I am used to black. I dunno why but the black is soothing for me. It is not by far lack of imagination but the black has it’s own immersing power. I have a high rated decisions making real life job. I think somehow that the black is going to conquer me completely.

The black is a rich basic after all, with a large coverage form romance to business looks. Will fit best with something else. But matching black to black, in textures and materials it is the hardest thing you ever tried. The black and and the not so basic black is the most used in the latest NY fashion. The black is the new everything you wanted.

For this look i added a little bit of camo with the texture of the hat and the boots.

Neko – cleansing

I must admit, lately my ego is trying to self-sabotage me, I wonder if it will succeed. I am reminded more than regularly my ego can be over critical and over judgmental.

That started me thinking that my evaluation about myself could be a lot different from who I really am. So beside an ever closer and closer middle age crisis I decided that is time for a soul and ego deep cleansing.

I might recommend that to all of you but I am not sure that my method will be widely accepted.  So I am breathing deeply couple of times and I telling you that my method, being an Aquarius is based of course on air and clear cold water. And void, void about almost everything. This void must be related to everything around me, even the media and the news I am watching over the day.

And somehow I don’t know how, this cleansing is already waking up my feline forgotten part. So to you I give three fragments of the path I am taking to a better me: life purpose – in which you define your way over the next time, spiritual source – in which you define your energy and what is pushing you forward and friends blessings in which you thanks to each of your friends and for sure you will get those blessings back.

Right, so what I written is not about fashion and this post is not necessarily an fashion related one but because I know my tomcats back home are the cleanest pets I ever saw, really, spending 4 hours a day grooming themselves is really too much, here we goes with some good neko pics.

With a classic style and more classic releases Limer came to my attention in the first weeks after beginning this adventure called SLStyle – my blog.  Limer has become one of the most promising designers of male clothing and accessories. His strong point is a cool sense of style and an perfect tech to do the textures and the respective prim attachments. This executive suit has the most realistic wrinkles and lighting I saw around the grid, definitely a choice to consider when looking for a classic look. Also I am playing with this Emil 3 Redgrave skin, not the best choice for the male skins, but it has a warm skin glow and look.

Black christmas

I am writing this post as a dedication to all of you who, during this last year, have lost a bit of your heart, have lost an old friend, for those which are having as the greatest enemy the time.

I am writing this post to gather all your ungranted wishes and dreams. I am writing for those with shattered dreams and for those too shallow to feel it. I am writing for those who are traveling and for those who are praying beside us.

I am writing for those who aren’t able to find their Xmas spirit anymore, i am writing for those which Xmas TV commercials are just dumb. Writing for those committed to unhappiness and for those uncommitted at all.

Writing for those who are pushing us forward with their optimism, writing for the freezing dove outside any childhood winter window. Writing for those without memories and for those who cannot forget anything. Writing for the forgiven and their forgivers.

I came here to celebrate

I came here to celebrate the death of my 1st life social life. I came here to explore the anarchy of a non-governance system which is finally what second life has become. I came here to see if a metaverse can finally replace the reality enhanced social bonding of the 1st life. I came here to see, driven by my curiosity to watch how much people can be.

And I found great minds around, and I found great friends, and I found great people and also another people like me driven by the curiosity to explore the inner workings of a metaverse. I came here to find the freedom, and I came here to find a mainstream of thoughts.

How many of you have come here to do the same? How many of my friends have guessed that is more inside my heart and soul? more and worth to uncover. And I have achieved… and I don’t know what yet. In this last year I became better, I became more open, and also some my hopes have become higher.

This SL it is not a revolution, this SL is not a game, this SL is not a replacement for your real life social relations, most of my friends have understood that This SL is not a platform for your deepest ideas and your deepest obsessions about life. And finally what this SL has become a lot for me lately: a necessary addition to a dark and gloomy, Dostoievski like, reality. If I would wished it first, I could be roleplaying an old gringo looking for a heroic death in a southern mexican country. I could be playing the soul eating monster from the center of a labyrinth. Did you ever wondered why, as noobs, we all look alike ? Did you ever wondered why as noobs, we made more friends. And now what ? Have we reached an invisible limit, now we can’t talk as much as we did once ?
